Netting wine is the main material used to make fishing nets, consisting of textile mesh and sewn fishing gear with a shield diameter of less than 4 millimeters. The physical and mechanical properties of the mesh cable shall be: certain roughness, sufficient strength, appropriate elongation, good flexibility, elasticity, structural stability, corrosion resistance and anti-aging performance, uniform thickness, smooth and wear-resistant.
The types of fishing nets can be divided into two categories based on the materials used to manufacture them: plant fiber nets and synthetic fiber nets. The former has poor corrosion resistance and has been eliminated in the fishing industry; The latter is widely used in today's fishing industry, mainly including nylon thread (PA), polyester thread (PES), polyethylene thread (PE), polypropylene thread (PP), polyvinyl alcohol thread (PVA), polyvinyl chloride thread (PVC), and polyvinylidene chloride thread (PVD).
According to the structure of the network cable, it can be divided into three categories: single wire, twisted wire, and braided wire:
1) Monofilament. Single filaments with a diameter of 0.1-1.5 millimeters, such as nylon monofilaments, are mostly suitable for fishing gear and braided gill nets.
(a) Single twisted thread: 1. Fiber; 2. Monofilament; 3. Single yarn
(b) Twisted yarn: 1. Fiber; 2. Single yarn (Z or S twist); 3. Single twisted thread (S or Z twist)
(c) 8-strand core braided wire (each strand is parallel to each other): 1. Core (2 single yarns); 2. Stock (3 single yarns)
(d) 8-strand weaving (threading 1 strand and pressing 1 strand, XX is the pitch length formed by 4 flower nodes)
(e) 16 strand braiding (threading 2 strands and pressing 2 strands, XX is the pitch length formed by 8 flower nodes)
Modern fishing wire mainly includes several types such as nylon wire, nylon wire, polyester wire, etc. Among them, nylon wire is the most widely used in China's fishing industry. It is generally twisted from single filament (36tex) and has high strength, good flexibility, light weight (specific gravity 0.96), extremely low moisture absorption, smooth surface, strong water filtration and wear resistance. It is widely used to make various types of hand nets, purse seines, fixed nets and ropes. Nylon mesh was first applied in the fishing industry, known for its high breaking strength and elasticity. It is often used to make large trawls, purse seines, gillnets, fishing lines, and ropes. The strength of polyester mesh is higher than that of ethylene fiber thread, lower than that of nylon thread, with a higher specific gravity (1.36) and lower moisture absorption. When weaving mesh sheets, the strength loss is greater after knotting, and it is often used as a material for large fencing.
